This one-year project was implemented in partnership with the Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (Tbilisi, Georgia), and was started with a partners planning meeting in October 2009.
The overall objective of the action was to contribute to peace building process and stability in Georgia and the region.
By establishing an early warning system, comprehensive information on developments in the conflict affected region of Shida Kartli and humanitarian situation in IDP settlements was gathered and analyzed. Civil society sector's expertise in peace building and crisis management issues was strengthened through network building between local and international stakeholders.
A series of round tables was held, monthly reports and quarterly reviews published, EU institutions provided with reliable and timely analysis and policy advise.
